It’s sometimes fun to find secret side quests in games that make them even better than they were before.
Side quests have always been a part of video games to help players feel more immersed as they discover all that the game has to offer. There are game makers who hide side quests for gamers who are very good at finding all the secrets of any game they are playing.
Finding these side quests is part of the fun, and finishing them gives gamers a similar sense of accomplishment as finding a secret that you can either keep to yourself or tell everyone about. But which secret side tasks are the best? Here are some of the most interesting side quests that you should do:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, A Gift From The Monks
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are a lot of side quests that will make you zip around Hyrule and check out all of its different biomes. For the A Gift From The Monks side quest, you have to go to and solve all 120 Ancient Shrines that are spread out around Hyrule in the main game.
In Breath of the Wild, each Ancient Shrine has a small puzzle or fight that Link needs to use his Runes and weapons to complete. When all of the Shrines are cleared, players will reach the Forgotten Temple, which is where the Hero of the Wild armor set hangs out.
Elden Ring, Alexander’s Quest
There are a lot of side quests in Elden Ring that players can find. This is what happened with Iron Fist Alexander. He is a big living jar that players will meet on the Weeping Peninsula. He is one of many tasks in Elden Ring that aren’t clearly marked.
To move forward with his side quest, players must help Alexander whenever they see him in the open world. He is usually stuck and needs help getting up. You will meet and talk to him a few times, and then near the end of the game, you will have to face him one last time because he wants to fight a fighter.
Bloodborne, The Suspicious Beggar
When Hunters visit the city of Yharnam in Bloodborne, they come across several NPCs that can be saved and kept safe in the Oedon Chapel. But not everyone in Yharnam needs to be saved. The Suspicious Beggar is a strange NPC who is looking for a safe place to stay.
But when players find him, he is hunched over a bunch of fresh bodies. The Beggar will ask where he and other people can go when he is talked to. They can either lead him to the Oedon Chapel, where he will kill the survivors, or they can fight him directly, which will show his true form.
Ghost of Tsushima, The Six Blades Of Kojiro
In Ghost of Tsushima, players are carefully put in the shoes of a wandering samurai. As players move around the beautiful island, they will meet different ronin, who are stronger than the average group of brigands and robbers.
It’s possible to start The Six Blades of Kojiro side quest after beating one of these ronin in Ghost of Tsushima. In this game, players have to find the final ronin and beat them in duels. Each ronin has a different sword style and is more cruel than the others. To beat them, you must know which stances work best against them. Players who finish this side quest will get the Kensei Armor, which makes Ghost weapons stronger.
Nier: Automata, Emil’s Memories
There are a lot of interesting and notable NPCs in Nier: Automata. Emil is one of them. Emil is a moving cart with a round, happy face that also runs a store that moves around. When players meet Emil, they can buy different things from him. Eventually, Emil will say that he is looking for a flower called the Lunar Tear because it makes his broken memories come back to him.
In Ninja: Automata, players have to complete a lengthy side quest that involves raising all weapons to the maximum level and searching for Emil’s clones. Once they find them, they must beat the clones, who are thought to be the game’s hardest optional boss.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Getting the Return Ending
Getting the Return ending is one of the less well-known side quests in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. There are certain things that players will need to do to get this real finish. This includes getting things that don’t seem to go together, switching between important NPCs, using and giving certain items to NPCs, beating bosses, and picking the right prompt after beating the last boss.
Remember that the above-mentioned shortened jobs are not clearly stated in the game. You would have to look them up to make sure you know the right order of things. If Doodle Baseball players finish these jobs, they will be able to see the real ending of the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2, The Veteran Stranger
Red Dead Redemption 2 has a huge number of side quests, and some of them are really great. The Veteran Stranger Mission needs to be added because it adds more depth to Arthur’s character and gives us a new character to help him. In this quest, Arthur talks to Hamish Sinclair, who asks him to help him get back his prized horse, Buell, because it stole his wooden leg.
Once players have caught Buell, they can go back to Hamish and finish more missions. When all of Hamish’s tasks are completed, players will be given the rare horse Buell as a prize.
Fallout 4, The Silver Shroud
In Fallout 4, the Silver Shroud side quest stands out because players have to listen to the Silver Shroud radio show in order to begin. Players will be told to get The Silver Shroud and the hat at Hubris Comics after talking to Kent Connolly.
After that, players will need to get the Silver Shroud script and weapon in order to start reliving the adventures of the main character in the Fallout setting. When players finish this side quest, they will get the Silver Shroud costume, along with its upgrades and a weapon.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Equine Phantoms
The Blood and Wine DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has both important and silly side quests that players can do when they’re not busy with the main story. Another funny side quest in The Witcher 3 is called Equine Phantoms.
Geralt needs to drink something from a loner NPC who says they are being chased by a demon and can only be found after Geralt drinks the potion. For some reason, once players drink the brew, they can talk to Roach, their beloved mare, and other animals to build the case. This is an interesting side quest because it’s the first time Geralt can talk to Roach.
Skyrim: The Mind of Madness
Finding the Daedric treasures in Skyrim is a long side quest that you will remember. The Wabbajack from Sheogorath is one of the most interesting items that players can find. Players must finish The Mind of Madness side quest in order to get the evil staff.
For those who talk to a beggar in Solitude and enter the Blue Palace, they will be taken into Pelagius’ thoughts, where they will find Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. Players are told to “cure” Pelagius of his “illnesses” while he sits at a table that looks like Alice’s in Wonderland. During the quest, Sheogorath will make comments as players try to complete the tasks. When the quest is over, the Daedric Prince will give players the Wabbajack, a powerful staff that can change targets into any shape they want.
