Fans of The Legend of Zelda will not want to move to some places, even though there are many good things to find there.
There are rolling meadows, magical forests, and strange, magical creatures in The Legend of Zelda. At first look, it seems like any of the many places would be great for settling down, maybe starting a family, and getting old. There are many bad things about living there, even though these places are great for The Legend of Zelda and its high-fantasy experiences.
It costs a lot to own land in Hyrule, any of its neighboring lands, or parallel dimensions, as many of the NPCs in all three games can confirm. Unbearable changes in the weather, broken pottery, and the constant fear of invasion would be enough to make even the toughest homeowners question their purchase of a title deed, deku flower or not.
Skyward Sword: Skyloft (Ideal-ish)
Skyloft has some great real estate, especially for people who want to be alone. The goddess Hylia put it above everything else, so it has a great view of, well, everything in the world. The floating sky islands are out in the middle of nowhere, but there are lots of useful places nearby, like a knight’s school, a cute bazaar, and a pedal-powered air shop.
A curse from a local demon makes the area more likely to have monsters at night, so Skyloft might not be a good choice for people who are afraid of heights or who like to be alone at night. But since a lot of people have decided to move to the newly opened surface, many homes on the island may soon be available for cheap.
Oracle Of Ages: Labrynna (Livable)
People who like history and places that are far away and always warm will love Labrynna, which has a lot of different places and towns with a lot of history. Labrynna used to be full of dangerous buildings, monsters that were mean, and crazy kings and queens, but now it is a republic that puts safety and security first.
However, the people who live there are proud of their long history. Visitors or newcomers may feel the sounds of history as they explore the beaches, hills, and mountains of the area. Labrynna is mostly a safe (if not strange) place, but sometimes things get petrified or the timelines get jumbled.
The Phantom Hourglass: The World Of The Ocean King (Small Living Spaces, Tough Commutes)
It can be hard to get to the World of the Ocean King because it is in a parallel dimension in a part of the timeline where Hyrule is underwater and right next to the Great Ocean. There are also some reasons why you shouldn’t set up camp on one of the islands that dot these vast waters.
Although the islands are quieter than most places in the country, land is becoming scarce because of rising water levels. This means that home costs are likely through the roof.
Oracle Of Seasons: Holodrum (Volatile Weather Conditions)
Holodrum is a great place for hikers because it has beautiful mountain ranges in the north, mysterious sites in the northwest, and a sandy desert in the southeast. But Holodrum doesn’t have much to offer people who want to experience the society that Inner-Hyrule might have to offer. However, Holodrum not only has a monster problem, but it also has a serious weather problem.
It can feel like the seasons change randomly and without notice. This makes it very hard to plan what to wear for the day in the northeast, where floods happen all the time. Farmers also have a hard time growing crops because the weather is so unpredictable. This means that food prices can get out of hand because there is no unified government between areas.
Various: Hyrule (Nice But Cursed)
There’s not much to say about Hyrule. It is a thriving cultural and economic hub and the center of the world (when it isn’t destroyed, submerged under a huge ocean, or turned into a place where real-life fears come true). Hyrule Castle and Town Square are located there.
This beautiful land is made up of wide open fields, big rivers that wind through them, majesty lakes, and huge, beautiful deserts. One bad thing about living in 8 Ball Pool is having to deal with the effects of a cardinal evil that keeps coming back to life. This evil can curse the land with eternal twilight, a flood of cursed water, or the end of most societies.
The Twilight Princess: Twilight Realm (Literally A Prison)
The Twilight Realm is a prison realm for a bad group of sorcerers called the Interlopers who tried to steal the Triforce for themselves. It may look nice. Many of the realm’s buildings are just floating in the air, so it’s not known for being easy to get to.
There are only two light sources in the whole world, as the name might suggest. They are both kept by the family of the Twilight Princess in the Temple of Twilight. People who are easily scared will have a hard time unless they bring their own lights. Because of the unstable politics in this jail area, homeowners should not even think about moving there.
A Link Between Worlds: Lorule (Knock-Off Hyrule)
In Hyrule’s alternate reality, where people destroyed their Triforce instead of locking it away, there are many problems besides the fact that its reality is falling apart because its wish-granting triangles were destroyed. Hyrule has problems with monsters, demons, storms, and teens who break pots, but the people there are at least nice and willing to talk.
What’s different about the people of Lorule is that they are ruder and more hostile than the people in the mirror. Because their lives are so bad, they get ideas from the many dangerous monsters that roam the land and choose to wear scary masks that look like them. In any case, the constant writing really ruins the high-fantasy look.
A Link To The Past: Dark World (Godless & Entirely Lacking In Charm)
It used to be called the Sacred Realm and was home to the Triforce. But over the last few eras, the Dark World has become worse. That place changes everyone who goes there into a monster, or at least a form that represents what’s in their heart.
Since Ganon is the undisputed ruler of the Dark World, there doesn’t seem to be much to do there besides doing evil demon work. As with any passage, there is only one way to get out of the Dark World. This is true in a social and economic sense as well.
Oracle Of Seasons: Subrosia (A Hellish Hellworld)
People who want to move to a warm, foreign place might want to rent in Subrosia first before they buy. The people who live there are well-educated, but they keep things to themselves, even from each other. Someone from outside the Legend of Zelda universe might find their behavior strange, even for characters from that world.
On top of that, Subrosia is ringed by dangerous lava and often has volcanic storms. What’s really annoying is that the people there have their own currency, so your hard-earned rupees won’t get you much. Anyone who wants to make a living there will need a shovel (or know how to trade well).
Majora’s Mask: Termina (Doomed)
Yes, that’s right. The fun events, the cool milk bars, the high-tech facilities (there are even toilets inside!), and the central location—you can walk for a few hours and get to a beach, a beautiful mountain range, or a scenic swamp. There are many great things about Clock Town in Termina as a series hub city. That being said, the biggest problem is that there are only 72 hours left.
Not all house sales have to happen by that date. Because of Majora’s Mask, there are only three days left until the moon falls and kills everything and everyone in sight. This means that Termina is only really suitable for people who want to rent for a short time.
Link’s Awakening: Koholint Island (Doesn’t Actually Exist)
Koholint Island in Link’s Awakening has beautiful golden beaches, a quant town, and cute talking animals. It might be the most perfect place in the Legend of Zelda world. There aren’t any global weather disasters, time travel accidents that throw reality off, or demon disasters. There were only days of beautiful weather and everyone got along.
However, those who are now planning to travel to the island will be let down: the island is only Link and something called the Wind Fish’s shared dream. Sad to say, this means the island was never real and never will be. Investing in property there is about as useful as Hestu’s Gift.
